Frequently Asked Questions

Do you deliver every image you shoot?

No. On average I shoot 1,400-2,000 pictures per wedding. I filter through them and keep only the best expressions, and the sharpest images.

How many images do you deliver?

A typical 8-10 hour wedding may yield 400-500 images. Things such as length of wedding, amount of people and how long we take portraits of the bride and groom usually affect the number of images produced.

Do you edit all of the images?

Yes. I take meticulous time with each image and make sure to color correct, enhance, and produce a final product that would look and feel as professional as possible.

Do you provide videography services?

Yes. I provide a Highlight Wedding Video, which is a 3-5min story trailer of the wedding day, and an Enhanced Wedding Video which is a 15-20 minute extended version of the Highlight Video. The extended version includes longer moments such as toast, prayer, ceremony, and reception clips. The Enhanced Wedding Video will have a dedicated videographer.

What rights do I have to the digital wedding images?

You will receive the right to print, reproduce, and post online. However, you may not sell your images for profit or publish without the consent of Kusko Photography.

What happens if we go over the contracted time?

I will not pack my bags and leave on the dot. I will ask the bride/groom if you are ready to let me go, or if you would like me to stay longer- in which case each additional hour is billed at $100/hr. Each extra picture that is taken will need to be post produced which adds extra time to my workflow and overall costs.

Do you design wedding invitations?

Yes. Inquire about the style, type of paper, and design you are interested in. Each invitation is $2.50, which includes designing and ordering.

How do you deliver the wedding images?

I place all edited images on a USB, and then the USB into a customized USB presentation box. I also provide an online gallery, which you may share with your friends and family.

How do you deliver engagement (and other) images?

You are given access to an online gallery of all full sized images, which you may download at your leisure.

Do you shoot JPEG or RAW?

I shoot RAW explicitly. JPEG is a done products that can’t be altered too much in post production, whereas RAW gives me the flexibility to color balance adjust the image to my liking.

What type of camera/equipment do you use?

Please see “About My Equipment”.

Do you do destination weddings?

No. I am a family man, and prefer to work locally. I will however, travel within a reasonable distance. Inquire if you are 30 miles outside of the Seattle Area.

How do I reserve you for my wedding date?

Once the contract is signed and the 50% deposit is made, your date becomes reserved.

What happens when you cannot make it to my wedding due to emergency, act of God, or natural disaster?

I hope it never comes to that, and will take all precautions necessary to make it to your wedding day; however, in case something out of my control does occur, I hold myself responsible for finding a replacement photographer that shares my style, or refunding your deposit.
